A Different World

A Different World After School serves children in grades K4-5 open to students “regardless of race, creed, or nationality.” The program uses hands-on learning modules to learn real-world skills and to provide help with schoolwork.

Big Blue Marble

Big Blue Marble “provides a welcoming and safe environment for students where they can learn, relax, and have fun.” The program offers a “combination of recreational and educational activities to balance [the] school day” and a cultural enrichment curriculum.

Bobby Pearse Community Center – Study Buddies

Study Buddies, open to students in grades K5-8, offers “homework assistance, tutoring, life skills development, recreational activities, arts and crafts projects,” and a daily meal. As a Live-Well Greenville designated site, the program is committed to a “safe, enriching, and healthy afterschool experience” for its participants.

The Bridge Tech

“The Bridge Tech consists of teachers, project managers, engineers, technology lovers and working professionals who want to prepare students for the workforce or their academic careers.” The program consists of a summer camp, an exchange program, and a soon-to-be afterschool component.

“YMCA enrichment programs add arts, academic, and fitness opportunities to children's daily lives.” The program picks up students at various elementary and middle school locations.

The Calvary Foundation is an afterschool program in West Greenville that is “designed to help participants develop an ‘I can attitude’ regardless of circumstances.” The program was founded by Windell Rogers, pastor of Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, and is housed in the church building.

The Fountain Inn Kid Enrichment Center is a free afterschool and mentoring program for students in the Fountain Inn community. They “offer help with homework and reading, small group activities and character lessons, games...feed them nutritious snacks and dinner” and pair students with a mentor.

The Let’s Move Summer and After School program of the Phillis Wheatley Association serves the Nicholtown community and particularly single parent households with multiple children. These programs provide opportunities for children to receive assistance beyond the school day and help them “to become well-rounded, productive citizens in their community.”

Pleasant Valley Connection

Pleasant Valley Connection looks to “connect community residents, families, churches, businesses and other organizations in a coordinated effort to improve the education, health, well-being and community involvement of Greater Pleasant Valley residents and surrounding communities.” It offers an Early Child Development Preschool for ages 3 and 4, an After School Tutorial program for ages 5 to 11, a Summer Enrichment Day Camp for ages 5 to 14, and the Talented Tenth Teen Center for ages 12-14.

Resurrected Treasure Ministries’ T.A.S.C.
